Privacy policy

Last updated: 8 September 2026. This policy explains how E-MOTO LTD, trading as E-Moto Britain, handles information you send us through this website.

Who we are (data controller)

E-MOTO LTD, trading as E-Moto Britain, is the data controller for personal information submitted through this website. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 17403496.

Registered office: Suite 709, 80a Ruskin Avenue, Welling, DA16 3QQ, United Kingdom. The registered office is an administrative address only — it is not a showroom, trading premises or a location for visits or deliveries.

We operate from Flintshire, Wales and serve customers across the United Kingdom. For any privacy question, email emotobritain@outlook.com or call +44 7722 036524.

What we collect

Interest enquiry form: your name, email address, and optionally your phone number and postcode, plus the category or model you selected, any message you write, your consent confirmation, and the page you submitted from.

Trade enquiry form: your business name, contact name, role, email address, phone number, optional website, region, enquiry type and message.

Basic technical information created automatically by our hosting and security infrastructure when a page is requested, such as IP address and request logs.

We do not ask for special category data, and we ask that you do not include any in a free-text message.

How your enquiry is stored

When you submit either form, the details are validated on our server and then saved to our managed database, hosted on our cloud backend provider. Enquiry records are only accessible to us through server-side credentials — they are not readable from your browser or by other visitors.

We may also reply to you by email or telephone using the contact details you provide.

Why we use it, and our lawful bases

  • To respond to and manage your enquiry — consent for the interest form, and legitimate interests (responding to a business enquiry) for trade enquiries.
  • To understand demand across categories and regions so we can plan our range — legitimate interests, using enquiry information in aggregate.
  • To keep records of enquiries and correspondence, and to protect our website against misuse — legitimate interests.
  • To meet legal or regulatory obligations where these apply — legal obligation.

Marketing: the consent box on our forms only permits us to contact you about the enquiry you submitted. We will not add you to a marketing list or send promotional messages unless you give us the appropriate separate permission, which you can withdraw at any time.

Service providers

We use a small number of providers to run this website and store enquiries:

  • Our cloud application host, which serves the website and runs our server-side code.
  • Our managed database and backend platform, which stores enquiry records.
  • Shopify, whose Storefront API supplies the product catalogue information shown on the site. Product data is read-only and no enquiry data is sent to Shopify.
  • Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces used on the site; your browser requests these files directly.

These providers act on our instructions where they process personal data for us, under written terms.

International transfers

Some of our providers operate infrastructure or support functions outside the UK. Where personal information is transferred internationally, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, together with appropriate additional safeguards.

Retention

We keep enquiry records for up to 24 months after our last meaningful contact with you, unless a longer period is required by law or the record is needed to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim. After that we delete them.

Technical and security logs are held for a short period by our infrastructure providers under their standard retention schedules.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Have inaccurate information corrected, or incomplete information completed.
  • Ask us to erase your information, or restrict how we use it.
  • Object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests, and to object at any time to direct marketing.
  • Ask for your information in a portable format where processing is based on consent and carried out by automated means.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time, which does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.

To exercise any of these, email emotobritain@outlook.com. We will respond within one month. We do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

Cookies and local storage

We do not intentionally operate analytics, advertising or tracking cookies on this site. See our cookie policy for the detail.
